Proverbs 13:24 "He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly." Discipline is a subject that EVERY parent deals with. What is age-appropriate discipline? Is it alright to spank my child? But I want my child to like me! This week in Raising Xceptional Kids (Rx Kids), our parenting class will go over the answers to these questions and much more dealing with your child and discipline! It is the parents' responsibility to teach their child the difference between right and wrong, the meaning of consequences, and the value of rewards. This requires our children to see the parent as the ultimate earthly authority. The parent must first teach the child to respect and obey. Your job as a parent is to train your child's heart to want to do right out of devotion to God.
