Operation Thanksgiving
Over the last several years our congregation has provided thousands of Thanksgiving Baskets to many of the great shelters in KC.  It was a real blessing to hand deliver many of these and pray for the prayer requests of these families in need.  Please help us this November as we continue this great tradition of sharing the Love of Christ with food and an encouraging word. 

Shelter Shower
When families celebrate the gift of a new born child their friends and family often throw them a shower to help provide for the needs of the new baby on the way.  At First Family we have a Shelter Shower each year to help the areas shelters with the many needs that they have.  Our great families donate thousands of items to help their community.

The Shelter Barrels
Each month the Barbara Townsend Shelter Ministry decorates our shelter barrels with a theme that helps remind our people of what the shelters we serve need for that month.  Check these out by the Main Foyer and please help us support this great outreach.

City Union Meals
During the remodeling of City Union’s kitchen it was our pleasure to take food and love down to the men.  Thanks to those who helped from the Life, Leadership and Success with Balance Sunday school as well as the Marriage Journey Sunday school.

Battered Women Shelter Outreach
Some very loving people took special Valentine’s gifts to hurting women this past February.  You might think the blessing was all for those in the shelter, but those who helped truly had their hearts touched.

Bibles and Blankets for the Homeless
During one of the coldest times this winter a group of people from the God’s Path for Singles ministry took Bibles and blankets downtown and handed them out and prayed with homeless people.
